Nobles Bar Stained GlassNobles BarStained glass galore and amazing original features, this place has a cosy atmosphere.

Nobles Bar is located close to the Shore area of Leith, there are many good bars and eateries vying for attention yet Nobles does stand out. Its front is a tribute to traditional craftsmanship with lively sea scenes in stained glass and handsome wood surrounds.

Inside the bar room is huge with ceilings that look to be over 5 meters high, more stained glass works and plenty of dark wood panelling. It is to Nobles credit that it has such a charming atmosphere and actually feels cosy and comfortable despite its size. Mix and match chairs, some old church benches, the occasional sofa and the bar, there is a place for all tastes. Nobles is also becoming a lively venue for bands to play, see w

The range of drinks on offer is good including some real ales, decent lagers, a wine board and about thirty whiskies. The food menu is short and simple offering local produce cooked well, its bar food with a delicate touch. Worth a visit if your in town, nothing quite like it in Edinburgh.
