One of the best Italian delicatessens in Britain.
Located at the top of Leith Walk the inconspicuous entrance does not reveal much of the vast range of produce that is on offer within. Fine wines, spirits, cheese, cold meats, cured meats, olives, fresh bread, pastas, oils, coffee, and a multitude of items that could make you feel Italian in Edinburgh.
The shop goes a long way back to reveal a large cafe which serves good snacks, meals and hot and cold drinks. The cafe is fairly basic but has its own charm and good service. Whether you are after something specific, a picnic or feast its all good here.
