Elephant House Edinburgh

Sit about and read the paper, hot drink and a snack, this is as relaxed a place as you will find.

The Elephant House has been here for a long time and has its maintained its calm down to earth vibe despite all the new coffee houses about its still one of the best. They serve a really good range of snacks to light meals ranging from a home made biscuit, a bacon role, soup to vegetarian lasagna.

The theme in this place is the ‘elephant’ there are allot of them from small trinkets on shelves to larger free standing. Don’t be put off its a bit of fun and it doesn’t dominate the space. There are tall stalls to sit at by the window, lot of tables and chairs by the main serving area and then a large bright room to the back with pleasant views and a mix and match of tables and chairs.
